In English Västanvik Folk High School What separates Västanvik’s folk high school from other folk high schools is that the school offers an environment where everyone uses sign language. The school’s target groups are deaf, hearing impaired and people with deafblindness who want to study and complete their previous studies and gain admission to college studies or to get a vocational education. Hearing students are welcome to read the signlanguageclass or the four year interpreter education. The school also has weekly courses and weekend courses. In summer, there is full activity with different camps, courses and conferences. At the school there is 80 rooms, sauna, gym, pre-school and own restaurant. In the school’s surroundings there is a wonderful nature that invites you to different activities depending on the season. Everyone working at school has the ambition to make everyone feel welcome and develop, and we dare to say that we mostly succeed! Welcome to Västanvik’s folk high school!
